Discovering Wildlife from Here and Elsewhere

Located in the heart of the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, the Falardeau Zoo is a wildlife observation center that offers a unique opportunity to discover many animal species in their natural habitat.

The facility also plays an important role in caring for injured or orphaned animals by providing them with shelter and the care they need to recover. When their condition allows and they can safely return to the wild, some animals are released back into the wild.

As you explore the park, you’ll encounter several of Quebec’s iconic species, including the black bear, moose, raccoon, lynx, red fox, coyote, and wolf. The park is also home to animals from other parts of the world, including the Canadian grizzly bear, the African leopard, and the Siberian tiger.

This outing is a great way to learn more about wildlife and enjoy an enriching experience with family or friends. The various observation areas allow you to take your time exploring the animals and gaining a better understanding of their environment.

About a 1.5-hour drive from Cap au Leste, the Falardeau Zoo is a great outing for nature and animal lovers.
