Director of Housing
The Accommodations Director oversees the teams that shape the guest experience on-site: front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities. The person in this role is responsible for ensuring the Auberge’s quality standards and providing a warm and professional welcome at every stage of the guest’s stay.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accommodation operations and be responsible for welcoming guests and handling requests during their stay;
- Establish standards for cleanliness, comfort, and guest service, and ensure that staff follow them;
- Foster a culture of warm and professional customer service among all hospitality teams;
- Coordinate logistical arrangements for groups, tour buses, and weddings on site;
- Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, performed by the maintenance team;
- Recruit, supervise, and develop front-of-house staff (reception, housekeeping, maintenance, activities);
- Work with senior management to set priorities and monitor performance indicators.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in operational management in the tourism or hospitality industry (3 to 5 years);
- Experience supervising multiple teams, including seasonal staff;
- Good knowledge of reservation systems (Reservit or equivalent);
- Inspiring leadership, organizational skills, independence, and a hands-on approach;
- A strong customer focus and a constant commitment to service quality;
- Proficiency in French; English is a plus.
